The aim of the Song Recital Award is to promote the performance and wider appreciation of Art Song in all its diversity. It is a biennial competition to be held in Melbourne in April 2003. Audition is by tape and those chosen to participate in the semi-finals can attend a series of master classes held in the week prior to the competition. Entries close on January 21 2003.

Entries are invited from classical singers in Australia and
New Zealand for the Mietta Song Recital Award 2003.
The Mietta Song Recital Award was launched in 1995 to
encourage and promote singing and the art song genre.
Semi-Finals and Finals 12 and 13 April, 2003
at Federation Hall, Victorian College of the Arts,
in Melbourne.
