Ingredients
6 Bread Rolls
1 lb Minced Steak
2 oz Cheese
1 medium Onion
1 Egg
Salt
Pepper
Shortening
Butter
Method
Slightly fry finely chopped onions, put in minced steak, pepper and salt to taste, cook until meat is ready. Meanwhile cut thin slice off top of bread roll (lengthwise) scoop out soft part, and soak in milk. Butter well inside of bread rolls. When meat cooked, put in crumbled bread roll insides, mix well, grate in cheese, add egg, mix well and fill bread rolls, replacing tops. Brush with milk.
Bake in oven until brown.
Remarks
I sometimes add a dash of sherry.
