The Undertaker is doing a lot for the life of Hawthorn. The funeral parlour has been made over into a brace of bars and underneath them a restaurant. The young climb the stairway, more staid Hawthonians content themselves with the restaurant. Dianne Kerry has served excellent food at a number of Melbourne restaurants. Here she produces a number of small plates to share and a petite selection of mains. These dishes make use of the Middle East's fashionable flavours and those of other exotic places. As expected the results are fine. Prices vary from reasonable to expensive and the noise level can be uncomfortable.
