The notion of tapas, however, and that of a restaurant tasting menu built around small dishes, are quite at odds with each other. Never mind. Sparrow is hot. With its wood-burning pizza oven in one corner, communal tables, fancy bar and rustic glazed crockery, this is a hybrid of so many places on the east coast, themselves hybrids. At lunch, Sparrow is chockers with women, all undoubtedly fans of the skinny male waiters and approachable food. At night, I imagine the place to be incredibly social. Sparrow has a tasteful vibe that's difficult to dislike."
