Mietta's Review
Sandblasted glass panels on the window protect the warm wooden shelved interior of a Victorian chemist's (apothecary) shop where laudenum has made way for the demon drink. The staff in their bearing, manner and costume continue the conceit. What a wonderful place to take of an apertif or two at one of the little marble cafe tables - some might even return later for a cleansing ale or a fortifying brandy. The new Hindley St dressed as old - fabulous. Great wine list - a must visit destination. A short but interesting menu is available too if you need to dilute the liquid refreshment.
