Mietta's Review
Popular among Adelaide artists, academics, university students and junior doctors, being a stone's throw from the Royal Adelaide Hospital. It is painted a fearful, bracing green, inside and out. The bar staff can be forbidding, in the time-honoured manner, yet the dining room serves well-cooked meals at reasonable prices. Salt and pepper duck, vegetarian filo tart. Wine, beer and spirits at pub prices. It is within easy reach of three cinema complexes and dozens of restaurants and cafes. The upstairs balcony may be secured for a private party, which can be delightful on those long, dry summer evenings.
