Mietta's Review
Considered for some time to be the best pizza in Adelaide, whether for lunch or dinner it's always busy and buzzy. The pizza deserves its reputation, and there are also good pasta and main dishes to choose from. Amalfi carries that most potent of recommendations; restaurant industry people choose to eat here.

The Adelaide Food Guide 2010 "Ahhh. Amalfi. There's just something about this warm, inviting trattoria. It's not like there's too much to it: paper menus on bare wooden tables and simple blackboards offering plenty of specials"
Gourmet Traveller 2007 Australian Restaurant Guide "Amalfi is packed with suits, young creatives and happy families, so the buzz can get pretty loud. You can understand why they all want a piece of the action; you'll get excellent pizze and pasta here, mains full of robust flavours, house-made bread with distinctive South Australian oil, and there's an exciting list of small domestic and Italian wines."
Gourmet Traveller 2006 Australian Restaurant Guide "In a city full of Italian restaurants, there isn't anywhere quite like the legendary Amalfi, now in its second decade and still turning out reliably good food. Amalfi's menu rarely changes - there might be riots if it did."
Gourmet Traveller 2005 Australian Restaurant Guide "Amalfi is an unpretentious, casual place, decorated simply with timber furniture and terrazzo floors, but still a cut above the rest for reliably good food and service. It covers all the staples, including knockout pizzas and robust pasta dishes with home-cooked flavours."
Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide Australia 2004, Good vegetarian options, 'a bona fide Adelaide institution ... Brenton Loughnan has brought renewed energy to the menu while staying sensibly close to Amalfi's pizza and pasta heritage. Intrinsic to the restarant's success is its use of the best rice, pasta, meat and seafood available.'
